About us
The Port of Sines is a strategic hub for Portugal and Europe, playing a key role in global logistics, energy transition, and port modernization.
Driving Digital TransformationAs a deep‑water, multipurpose, future‑oriented port, Sines positions itself as a logistical, industrial and energy hub, committed to sustainability, operational efficiency and digital transformation.
To accelerate this transformation, the Ports of Sines and the Algarve Authority (APS) lead the NEXUS Agenda. This ambitious programme, part of the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), is designed to foster technological innovation and sustainable growth within the port and logistics ecosystem.
One of the main outcomes of this agenda is OpenSyllo ‑ a platform designed to share data, improve interoperability, and support collaboration.
The platform provides tools for publishing and subscribing to accessible and reusable datasets and digital services, supporting the development of innovative solutions, data‑driven decision‑making, and a smarter, more connected and intelligent port and logistics network.
